Whether you have a vaginal birth or cesaerean, you will also birth your placenta! After you give birth at a hospital, at home or at a birth center/cottage, your placenta is put in a plastic bag or bucket & kept on ice. You are welcome to bring your own stainless steel container. If I am your doula, I will leave the hospital with your placenta for processing & begin steaming it shortly after. If you have another doula, I can coordinate with them for a pickup asap; I also can coordinate with family members, partners, etc. Hospitals usually have a (somewhat strict) rule that the placenta needs to leave the hospital within 24hrs of delivery.
I use properly sanitized stainless steel equipment to steam, dehydrate, powder & encapsulate your placenta. Depending on the size of your placenta, you will receive 75-175 pills (size 00) within 3-4 days. Capsules are gluten free. Price for pills for people birthing in 2026 is $375. You will receive an invoice via Stripe to your email or phone.
